Student Feedback

What we hear back from our diverse and international students.

"As a student at IMBOLC you are both challenged and encouraged. The demands are really justified, and I notice how many excuses for myself I had established over the course of my life. The whole experience is authentic, as everything that is demanded is also role modelled.“

— Anna, 0° Neophyte sen, female student

“Especially as a woman, I have always found it relatively difficult to gain a foothold in Western traditional and often patriarchal magic, to feel at home. I come from Witchcraft – but IMBOLC has completely taken away these reservations and resentments.”

— Sarah, IV° Soror, female student

"What is happening here? I got involved, which was anything but easy for me as an engineer, and I have to say: This is simply unbelievable, what is happening to me and my environment? It's like I've been looking through bottled floors and breathing and smelling through inch-thick layers of linen for decades."

— Lilith, 0° Neophyte jun, female student

"I think the balance of theory and practice is exactly right here; at least that is what I have experienced so far in the last 3 years. Practice is so important and paper is so patient!"

— Faustus minor, I° Zelator sen., male student

"It is unbelievable how many subject areas or pardigms IMBOLC teaches. Sometimes I ask myself where all this knowledge comes from or how Agrippa was able to compile that much over the course of 30 years."

— Zina, III° Practica, female student

"IMBOLC has always given me the freedom that was important to me. IMBOLC really is a school and not a lodge or even a secret society, which in one way or another build up unhealthy group dynamic or social pressure. However, it is demanding in a positive sense."

— Rebecca, 0° Neophyte, female student

"I don't care at all whether ghosts, demons, angels or similar beings really exist; from a quantum-physical point of view it's all a big ‘miracle’ anyway. So, what is this supposedly post-pubescent, gothic work with them really about for me? Well, it’s always and only about self-knowledge through dialogue with an intelligence of a higher order. At the end, everything is vibration and frequency! I don’t study at IMBOLC to destroy any supposed enemies, to lift any hidden treasures or to draw willing, young virgins to me. That was once so, yes – in younger years. IMBOLC has shown me after many years of foundational studies what it is really all about, and above all, what goêtic magic is about".

— Alex, V° Adeptus minor, male student
